Fabric Sourcing for Clothing Brands and Custom Garment Trims
MRL Apparel helps clothing brands source fabrics, trims and labels that suit the design, target price and order quantity. Before sampling, we check the fabric composition, weight, color, hand feel, supplier MOQ and whether enough material will be available for bulk production.

Knit and Woven Fabric Sourcing
We source materials by project — cotton, viscose, polyester, nylon, linen, acetate, chiffon, satin, rib knit, Ponte, denim, wool, cashmere, modal, silk, TENCEL™ Lyocell. We check composition, weight, stretch, drape, transparency and whether the supplier can cover your quantity.
Knits: recovery, edge curling, sewing stability. Wovens: grain direction, seam behavior, how it holds up after washing.

Color Matching and Fabric Batch Control
Custom-dyed fabric? We confirm supplier MOQ and lead time first. Then we make a physical color sample against your Pantone reference. You approve it before we start bulk dyeing.
Fabric hits the factory, rolls get split by dye lot or print batch. Checked before cutting. Panels for one garment stay within the same batch. Keeps shade differences from showing up between front, back and matching pieces.
Certified Fabric Options and Test Requirements
If a project requires OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS or GRS documentation, tell us before sampling. We look for suitable supplier options and check the certificate number, scope and validity before the fabric is ordered.
Certification is not assumed from a fabric name or supplier description. Shrinkage, color fastness and other performance figures are only stated when supported by an actual test report or project-specific testing.
Custom Garment Trims and Labels
Zippers, buttons, buckles, elastic, cords, hook-and-loop tape, linings, main labels, care labels and hangtags can be sourced to match your garment and brand files. Supplier MOQ and availability are checked against the planned order quantity.
Custom-shaped hardware, logo molds and special zippers may require a sample fee and additional development time. When a new mold is needed, the usual lead time is 7–12 days, and we confirm this before sampling.
Material Coordination Before Bulk Production
Fabric, lining, zippers, buttons, labels — they don't all come from the same place, and they don't all show up at the same time. We track every item by style and order. If a trim's running late, we chase it before it becomes a production problem.
Workshop doesn't start until everything's in, checked, and matched to the approved sample. One item held up? Your account manager updates the schedule and tells you straight how it affects delivery.
