OEM & ODM Clothing Manufacturer for Women's Fashion
Meng Ruolan, as an OEM & ODM clothing manufacturer, handles two different starting points for development.Projects with complete product information are eligible for OEM manufacturing.Only projects with a clear product category direction or market positioning proceed to the ODM stage.
Choosing the right starting point saves you from taking detours later on.Many customers are unsure which model to choose. The team will provide recommendations after reviewing the materials, rather than forcing the client into a one-size-fits-all process.
OEM: Production completed according to customer specifications.
OEM clothing production is carried out based on the client's existing specifications. The client provides the technical package, size chart, and design drafts.Refer to the reference image or actual sample garment. Meng Ruolan manufactures the product in accordance with the approved specifications.Fabrics, colors, logos, accessories, and packaging must not be changed without prior confirmation. You set the standards, we implement them.If the client needs to modify the design during development, such as adjusting the neckline depth or changing the fabric, the team will proceed only after receiving written confirmation and will not make decisions on the client's behalf without authorization.
ODM: From Concept to Marketable Sample
ODM fashion development begins with product categories, styles, price ranges, and target markets. The team provides 1–2 style directions, including recommendations on fabrics, silhouettes, and costs.Sample garments will be made after customer confirmation.Unapproved plans will not proceed to production, thereby avoiding wasteful development.
Pre-development feasibility check
It is better to outline the risks before development begins than to face disputes after completion. The team will check the material supply, structural process, component mold making, and minimum material quantity, and explain the issues affecting costs or delivery time separately. If the fabric order quantity is insufficient or outsourced embroidery is required, add 5–7 days.
Sample Garments, Modifications, and Approvals
After the information and materials are confirmed, sample garments typically take 7–10 business days to prepare, with up to three revisions included. Adjustments to the manufacturing process or details are covered within these revisions. Changing the fabric or significantly altering the structure requires a re-evaluation of the timeline and costs. Production shall be based on the sample garments, patterns, and documentation approved in writing by the customer.
Bulk production specifications finalized
Private label apparel development requires locking in the fabric, colors, size chart, pattern versions, auxiliary materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging before bulk production. If any changes are made after approval, the costs for materials and time will need to be reassessed. The factory will separately file and approve the final sample garments, paper patterns, and confirmation documents. Only locked versions are used for production; older versions are retained solely for archival purposes.
Design Data and Confidentiality
The client's designs, patterns, technical packages, and branding documents are used only for the corresponding project. This content may not be publicly displayed without permission. A confidentiality agreement may be required. The parties first confirm the scope of confidentiality, the term of validity, and their respective responsibilities. The factory implements a project segregation system, storing data from different clients separately.Staff members can only access project files for which they are responsible.Brand logos are concealed when displaying sample garments, and client styles are not used for factory promotional purposes without the client's consent.
