Pattern Making for the Waistband and Drape
Our design and sample rooms handle the pattern before bulk cutting. The pattern maker and the sample machinist check the waistband join together. The thickness at the back zipper. The seam finish inside the skirt.
Your reference has the fabric falling diagonally from the waist, into an overlapping front. Fold placement gets settled on the sample. Recorded. Then cutting and sewing follow it, so the bulk order hangs the way you approved.
With this crossover waistband skirt, the waist measurement has to agree with the back zipper. At fitting we watch how the band closes. Does it pull the jersey up? Or does the top edge stand away from the body?
You can use your brand's size chart or provide an approved skirt as a fit reference. The sample review covers waist, hip and length. Plus the front overlap, checked seated and walking.
This lyocell jersey skirt uses the same fibre composition for outer fabric and lining. Same percentages, though, doesn't mean same behaviour. Thickness and stretch get checked together. Two materials with identical numbers can act very differently once sewn into a fitted garment.

The Sample Is Approved. Now Production.
The sample is approved. From there, our cut and sew skirt manufacturing follows the agreed pattern, measurements and construction notes. On the sewing line, checks go to the waistband join, the zipper area and the overlap attachment. That's where the layers pile up.
Pressing has to suit both materials. So the finishing method gets tried on offcuts first, before it touches the garment. And the lining should sit inside the skirt without dragging the front opening out of place.
Want a quotation? Send quantities by size and colour, your leather reference, and any inspection you need. With those in hand, we confirm material availability, sampling costs and the production schedule in one go. Supplier minimums included, if they affect the order.
Inspection Before Shipment
Your own team can check the skirts before shipment. Or bring in a third-party inspector. We arrange the inspection around the production schedule. The approved sample, size chart and packing instructions serve as the reference.
Yes. Send the pattern, measurement chart and construction notes. We'll make a sample first. You assess it. Only then does the pattern go near bulk cutting.
Yes. Send a swatch, or the supplier's spec sheet. We review the thickness and whether it suits the crossover construction. Availability and minimums get checked before we quote.
The instructions have to cover the whole skirt. Leather waistband, jersey, lining, all of it. We review the selected materials and any care-testing requirements first. Then the label wording gets confirmed.
