Sample Development

MRL Apparel has an independent sample room with six full-time pattern makers. For a regular style with available fabric and complete measurements, the first prototype may be prepared in about three days; the standard sample commitment remains within seven days.

Up to three reasonable sample revisions are supported without an additional sample-making charge. Major structure changes, replacement fabrics or newly added processes require a separate review because they can change the pattern, material cost and schedule.

Pattern files and approved measurements are archived after development. Repeat orders can use the stored pattern version instead of starting again, provided the fit and construction have not changed.

The sample is supplied with the related fabric color reference and size information. Bulk fabric is matched to the approved sample reference; any necessary substitution is sent to the buyer for approval before cutting.

Product Description

This open-back side-tie halter top — top only, the black trousers aren't included. Fitted to the hip, gathered at the side and held with a long tie.

Keyhole starts below the high neckline, runs down the upper chest. Width, length and lower curve adjusted during pattern work to match your coverage needs.

Ties behind the neck, back open to the waist. We check tie length, neck opening and back width together so the front keyhole doesn't pull out of shape.

Side tie controls the gathering and hem width. Move the knot or lengthen the tie and the drape changes — we lock these details on the sample before grading.

Fabric and Sewing

The confirmed fabric is 95% viscose and 5% spandex at 170 g/m². This viscose spandex halter top uses the fabric’s stretch for its close fit, while the viscose content gives the side gathering a softer fall.

Stretch and recovery are checked around the neckline, waist and side tie. Pilling, static, colorfastness and shrinkage are only stated when supported by the buyer’s requested test method.

Pre-shrink treatment is retained from the original specification and adjusted to the selected fabric. Flatlock stitching is used on the confirmed construction areas to keep the seams controlled around the fitted body.
